Uma Wittenberg

VP of Administration

Hometown: La Canada Flintridge, California

Major(s)/Minor(s): Economics & Accounting and Applied Psychology

Uma is a second-year Economics and Accounting major who may double as a Film and Media Studies major that is hoping to pursue a career as a financial consultant within the film industry. She like the practicality and organization of finance as well as the creativity of the film industry so she wants to find a career path that is a perfect blend of the two. She was inspired by her mom who is an accountant and has always loved every aspect of the film industry such as acting, directing, writing, and producing.

In her free time, Uma enjoys traveling, reading mystery and rom-com novels, watching movies and reviewing them on Letterboxd, playing tennis, and going on sunset walks with her friends. She rushed AKPsi in her freshman year spring quarter and has already met so many people that have become some of her closest friends. It has not only provided her with so many amazing memories, it has also expanded her interests academically and made her more excited about her future career goals. She knows she can count on anyone in AKPsi to have her back and looks forward to growing along side her brothers for the rest of her time at UCSB.

Uma’s Recommendations: Stranger Things, The Good Place, and New Girl. Too Many Nights, Homemade Dynamite, and Hurts Me (but also anything by SZA, The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter).
